Freecell

FreeCell Solitaire consists of different piles which are:

The Free Cells: These are the four piles in the upper left corner.

The Foundations: These are the four piles in the upper right corner.

The Tableau: These are the eight piles that make the main playing table.

Piles Setup:

There are a total of 12 different piles, including 4 Free Cells, 4 Foundations, and 8 of the Tableau. The Free Cells and the Foundation piles are empty while the first 4 tableau piles start with 7 cards each and the remaining 4 tableau piles start with 6 cards each, making a total of 52 cards or a complete deck.

Objective:

To win the game, you must arrange all the cards on to the foundation piles. The cards must be arranged in proper order by suit and rank. As a deck consists of 4 suits, so there are 4 foundation piles, each representing one suit. The cards must be arranged in the following order by suit: Ace 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 Jack Queen King

Allowed Moves:

Moving Cards Around the Tableau:

You can move the top card of any pile on the tableau to any other pile on the tableau if the top card of the placing pile is one card higher and of a different color. For example, you can place the 3 of red of one pile on 4 of black of any other pile.

You can also move multiple cards if they are properly arranged. For example, if you have 5 of red placed on 6 of black and that 6 of black is placed on red of 7 then you select the cards from 7 and move them at the same time but there is a limitation to how many cards can be moved at the same time.

The number of cards that can be moved at the same time is the number of empty free cells and empty tableaus + 1. So, if you have 1 empty free cell and 1 empty tableau then you can move 3 cards at once. If you have 3 empty free cells and no empty tableau then you can move 4 cards at once but the cards should properly be ordered as mentioned before.

If there is an empty tableau pile then you can move any card there.

Moving card to a Free Cell:

The top card of any Tableau, Free Cell, or Foundation pile can move on an empty Free Cell. Each Free Cell can hold one card at a time.

Moving card from a Free Cell:

You can move the card from free cell to both the foundation and tableau pile. To move onto the foundation pile, the top card of the foundation pile should be of the same color and follows the order. to move onto the tableau pile, the top card of tableau must be one rank higher and of a different color. For example, you can move 5 of black from free cell to 6 of red of tableau.

Moving Cards from Tableau to Foundations:

Cards can be moved from Tableau to Foundations by either dragging and dropping the card from tableau onto the foundation or by double-clicking on the card and it will automatically go to the Foundation pile.

Undo Moves:

The option to undo moves is available and you can undo your moves an unlimited amount of times. Each Undo, however, is considered as a new move.
